Persian Makaroni is a delicious twist on traditional Bolognese, featuring a crispy layer on top that enhances the flavors and texture. This iconic Persian dish combines lean beef, aromatic spices, and pasta for a satisfying meal.
Make your sauce. Chop onions and brown them in a pan with olive oil for 5 minutes.
Add the ground beef and cook for 10 minutes.
Add the pasata sauce, oregano, cinnamon, turmeric, paprika, salt, pepper and water and mix over medium heat until well combined. Set aside.

Add the rest of the pasta to the sauce, mix well and place it on top.
Cover the pot, cook over low-medium heat for 15-20 minutes.
Flip onto serving dish and ENJOY!
